Polished concrete is popular in a number of settings, including:
Dry polishing is one of the most common methods for achieving beautifully polished concrete floors. This process utilizes high-powered machines equipped with diamond-impregnated pads to grind and polish the surface without the need for water. Dry polishing is particularly popular for its efficiency and its ability to produce a high-gloss finish with minimal cleanup.
This method is ideal for large commercial spaces, showrooms, and environments where downtime must be minimized.
Wet polishing is a traditional technique that uses water to cool diamond abrasives and reduce dust during the grinding process. This method is especially effective for environments with strict air quality requirements and for projects that demand a more sustainable approach.
Wet polishing creates a smooth, matte, or low-sheen finish that works well in areas prioritizing subtle elegance over high reflectivity.
Cream polishing is a technique that focuses on refining the top layer of the concrete without exposing aggregates or deeper layers. This method highlights the natural creaminess of the concrete paste, creating a sleek and modern appearance.
This technique is perfect for spaces where a clean, minimalist look is desired, such as retail stores, offices, and modern residential interiors.
For those seeking a unique and colorful finish, dye and polish is the perfect solution. This method combines polishing with the application of vibrant dyes that penetrate the concrete surface, creating long-lasting, fade-resistant colors.
Dye and polish is particularly popular for branding purposes, as logos and company colors can be seamlessly integrated into the flooring design.
Over time, even the best-maintained polished concrete floors can lose their luster due to heavy use. Our polish refresh and refinishing services are designed to restore the beauty and functionality of your floors, ensuring they look as good as new.
We rely on the industry-leading AmeriPolish Smart Floor Maintenance System to clean, protect, and enhance your polished concrete surfaces. This innovative system includes:
Whether your floors need a simple touch-up or a more intensive refinishing, our services are tailored to meet your needs and extend the lifespan of your investment.
Our commercial concrete polishing products are industrial-quality, meaning they can stand up to even the most high traffic commercial environments. Our application process is a multi-step process:
Initial Grind – We use coarse diamond segments bonded in a metallic matrix to mechanically grind your concrete floor and expose a cleaner surface and remove any dirt, scuffs, or other aggregates such as sand, gravel, and crushed stone. For cream polishes, this step is skipped and we start with the secondary grinds described below.
Secondary Grinds – Next, we’ll use a diamond-embedded plastic or resin-matrix until we reach your desired sheen. This process may be more intensive, depending on the gloss you desire. These steps are used to complete polishing up to 200, 400, 800, 1500, or 3000 grit finishes.
Floor Sealing – During the sealing phase we apply a penetrating sealer to protect your concrete floors from the inside out. This sealer not only gives your floor the glossy shine you desire, it also densifies and helps protect the concrete from damage.
Final Burnish – After our penetrating polish guard has been applied, we will finish your floor with a high-speed burnish to further enhance the shine and protection.
We understand that all commercial facilities do not have equal needs, so we offer a variety of customization options that can be implemented throughout the process, including safety features and aesthetic customization options to match your company's branding.
At United Floor Coatings, we bring years of expertise and a commitment to excellence to every project. Our polished concrete solutions are designed to exceed expectations, offering unparalleled durability, aesthetics, and value. Here’s what sets us apart:
